Title- A Graphical Language to Model Learning Units in Engineering
Abstract- This paper introduces a graphical language to support the creation of computational models of educational units: PoEML (Perspective-oriented EML). In general, EMLs (Educational Modelling Languages) are devoted to support the modelling of educational units. PoEML approaches the modelling of educational units following the separation-of-concerns principle. The main idea underlying PoEML is to break down the modelling of educational units into separate parts that can be specified step by step. In correspondence, the model of each part can be represented by a different graphical diagram, involving specific elements and relations. This separation-of-concerns approach simplifies the development of models while a high expressiveness is offered. Particularly, it supports the development of engineering educational units. In addition, it also enables to improve the reusability, adaptability and flexibility of the created models.

Title- Towards a PoEML-based Architecture for E-learning Systems.
Abstract- The current panorama of Learning Technologies is composed of not interoperable technological domains. Thus, there are web-based systems, m-learning systems, and the recent concept of t-learning systems. In this paper we present a proposal of architecture to support the interoperability of e-learning systems, independently of the access technologies used by participants. That architecture enables the collaboration between participants in the same learning process, which is formalized by using the PoEML Educational Modeling Language.

Title- T-learning for disabled people
Abstract- This paper describes a t-learning system based on Moodle and specially adapted to people with disabilities. The technical architecture is based on Home Theater Personal Computers, which perfectly merge the TV and Internet worlds. The system described has been tested by COGAMI, an association that gathers more than 20,000 disabled people. The technical architecture, the t-learning services provided and the results of the case study are described in this article.

Title- A Tool to Support Early Childhood Education through Television.
Abstract- In Early Childhood Education we need to share information between the school and the family’s home. This would ensure a common and shared educational environment, which is essential at this stage. This paper describes a platform based on interactive TV technologies that supports coordinated activities at home and at the school. Semantic technologies are used to provide recommendations based on the child’s profile and the learning objectives, altogether with support to side services (e.g. feeding, medical care). Currently, the system is fully operative from a Nintendo Wii with a working prototype already available for Google TV.
