Title- Design of an Advanced Programming Course through Project-Based Learning: A Geographical Application.
Abstract- The present paper shows an example of how to learn programming through project-based learning and virtual communities. It proposes to the students the development of an application related with mobility managing multiple media formats. This development involves the understanding of concepts related with programming; networks and communications; and the use of XML. Thanks to the learning through motivating practice-based development, students face the real problems that they will find in private companies when they finish their degree.
Index Terms- Project based learning, geocomputing, advanced programming, collaborative work.

Title- Learning object reutilization applied to the study of Electronic circuits.
Abstract- Education requires a great amount of effort. Authoring high quality learning content is but one of many tasks involved with this continuous process. Learning objects are a new approach to help teachers to reuse and find different contents. Open standards have made possible to achieve this accomplishment. Through digital repositories we can explore collections of resources about a topic of interest without filtering large lists of search results. Later some of them shall be combined in any manner one chooses. DIEEC wants to share here the research to adapt our current Electronics Engineering courses following this methodology.
Index Terms- Learning Objects, Electronics, reutilization, interoperability.

Title- M2Learn: Open Framework for Developing Applications for Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning
Abstract- This paper describes an open framework aimed to facilitate the development of mobile and ubiquitous learning applications. The main features that this framework implements are: (a) transparent management of several location-based technologies, including GPS, and cell towers; (b) easy identification of objects through RFID; (c) support for motion sensors (e.g. G-Sensor); (d) interoperability with existing services in a Moodle e-learning platforms; (e) support for widely accepted e-learning standards, including LOM for learning objects, and IMS-QTI for assessment. This framework provides an easy API that simplifies the development. This paper also discusses several projects implemented over the M2Learn framework.
Index Terms- Mobile Learning, Geo-localization, Ubiquitous.
