Title- Active learning through self-assessment using a virtual laboratory.
Abstract- This paper describes an interactive assessment tool that may be used by the students after reading the theoretical lessons and before going to the laboratory. It combines a virtual laboratory and an assessment method to achieve a self-learning system. The virtual laboratory is made up of a set of virtual experiments with a user-friendly graphic interface and interactive simulated electronic instruments relating practical and theoretical concepts. The tool matches the constructivist theory and does not directly answer the questions but uses the virtual laboratory to present the solution to the student. Using this tool the student learns from his mistakes.
